# Privacy

## What you type stays on your device

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Your measurements, pattern edges and searches are never sent to us or to anyone else, and the site makes no network requests of its own while you use it.

## What your browser stores

Two small settings are saved in your browser's local storage: whether you work in inches or centimetres, and your light, dark or automatic theme. They never leave your device. Clear them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

## Page counts

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking. It never receives what you type into the calculators. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also keeps standard technical logs to run and protect the service.

## No cookies, no adverts

Seam & Story sets no cookies, shows no adverts and has no accounts. Links to other websites, including the recommended services and sister sites, take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
